2024 Graduate Reflections

2024-6-4 | Pastor Chuck Potts

As ECC’s high school seniors from the class of 2024 graduate and prepare for their futures, we want to take a moment to congratulate each of them for this achievement! On Sunday, June 9, our high school graduates will be invited to a ministry spotlight during the service, where we will have an opportunity to recognize them, hear what plans they are excited about in the future, and pray over them as a church community.

Over the past month or so, we have invited these graduates to reflect on their experiences and relationships here at ECC, and share their thoughts. Here are some of their reflections:

CAYLA BLEVINS: Hi! Some of my favorite memories are going to church camp every year. Another favorite memory is dancing to Church Clap before our Wednesday classes. ECC has helped me make great friends through Christ, and has inspired me to be a better person and draw closer to God. Thanks!

SAMANTHA CLARK: Something I really appreciated while working with ECC is working AV. It allowed me to connect with the music group more, as well as problem solve with computers more. It also helped me grow closer with my ECC community.

ANTHONY CRUM: ECC has always been like family to me. It’s provided me with people and friends that I can trust and talk to. The youth pastors and staff have always encouraged me to do great things and taught me the word of God. My favorite memory was definitely winter camp. I made lots of friends and connected in ways I have never before. Winter camp will always be an amazing memory. ECC has impacted and helped me through life and I appreciate it very much. Thank you ECC!

SHANNON CRUM: My favorite memories are from vacation Bible school and helping my siblings remember the motions to the song, Fruit of the Spirit. I have also enjoyed spending time with my mom teaching Sunday school.

DYLAN HODGSON: I've been going to ECC for as long as I can remember and one of my favorite parts has been playing guitar and piano for the worship team. One of the most impactful days of my life was getting baptized by Pastor Stacey. I also really enjoyed serving at Miller Elementary a few times and delivering food for the backpack program during COVID. Thank you ECC for these awesome opportunities!

CARLY ROBERTS: Something I’ve appreciated about ECC is the way that I’ve felt welcome since my first Sunday. Aside from that, I’ve found that this church deep-dives into the Bible and does its best to break it down and explore it.

Below, you will find a list of all the high school and college graduates for 2024 that let us know they are graduating. We know there are more out there that did not sign up, so please be sure to congratulate those as well, as you hear of them.
